Vivian Konstantakos, Kinesiologist

Vivian Konstantakos knew at the age of five that she wanted make people well, move freely and pain free, through exercises. She did not know the word ‘kinesiology’ at the time. She entered the rehabilitation, movement and exercise terrain in 1995 when she first went to college. Started as a physical therapy assistant in Greece, a Tae Kwon Do instructor and a Special Olympics swim coach while studying Physiology. Clearly the heart was in movement. After graduating, the pursuit of the dream led her to continue the studies at the Exercise and Physical Education Department in Greece. She transferred to Arizona State University graduating in 2008 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. While at ASU she became a TA for the anatomy lab for 1.5 years teaching students three times a week on real cadavers and getting the best possible knowledge of anatomy she could ever ask for.

She considers herself a body mechanic. The body naturally moves towards healing, but sometimes needs a little help. Since 2008 she has created a method that is based on geometry to figure out if the body’s musculoskeletal structure is in alignment in order to move freely, pain free and to heal. Utilizing microscopic exercises with very small range of motion, she has helped many clients with serious injuries, recovering from surgeries or avoiding surgery (in her book, surgery should be the very last solution).

Even though the majority of Vivian’s past clients dealt with serious knee, hip and back issues (hip and knee replacements, back surgeries), her belief is that every body sensitivity – her way of naming injuries – is never too small or too big, is individual, and personal to each one of us. She approaches each person as an individual with a fresh look and creates the best unique plan.
